The Saffron filaments or threads are actually from the red dried stigmas of the ‎flower, "Crocus Sativus Linneaus". Each flower consisted of only three stigmas, those threads from each flower must be ‎picked by hand in autumn when they are fully bloomed, and it takes more than 25,000 stigmas of these flowers to produce just 1 kg of ‎Saffron filaments, it is the reason for Saffron being expensive and valuable. Certainly Saffron ‎impresses people by its pleasant color, distinctive aroma and extraordinary taste as well.‎
